POROS develops in depth evaluation of the Jurassic and Triassic plays in both western and eastern parts adjacent to the large Paris urban area. The company is established in Paris since October 2007 to develop exploration and production projects. The expertise of the company is based on technical skills and teamwork fostering.
 
The Paris basin is a Mesozoic-Tertiary basin covering depressions filled with Permian-Carboniferous sediments laying on a Palaeozoic basement. Basin subsidence is controlled by late reactivation of Palaeozoic fault systems oriented NW-SE in the western part, N-S in the southern part and E-W to NE-SW in the eastern part.
